Trial smart luggage lockers in your hotel — free
You should not have to take a supplier's word for what a luggage room can earn. Run it in your own property, with your own guests, at no cost, and look at the numbers afterwards.
How the pilot works
- 01
We install
Smart lockers, code-locked cages or a hybrid, specified to your building and fitted in a day.
- 02
Guests use it
They book, pay and open on their own phone. No app, no key, no front-desk involvement.
- 03
You measure
Bags per day, peak hours, session lengths, revenue earned and staff interactions avoided.
- 04
You earn
Your share of guest payments is settled monthly, with reporting behind it.
- 05
You decide
Continue, expand, or ask us to remove the units. Your call, on your numbers.
Why we fund it
Because the objection is almost never "we don't want the revenue" — it is "we are not spending capital on lockers". Removing the capital question removes the approval it would otherwise need, and lets an operations decision be made on evidence instead of a forecast.
What to expect in the first month
Usage builds as staff start pointing guests at it, and two peaks show up quickly: early arrivals in the morning and departed guests in the afternoon. You will also see how long guests actually store for, which tells you whether the sizing is right before anything is scaled.
Before you start, it is worth knowing what the manual process costs today — put your figures into the luggage cost calculator.
Pilot questions
- Is the luggage locker pilot really free for the hotel?
- Yes. Lobby Locker funds the hardware, installation, 4G connectivity, monitoring and guest support. The hotel provides the space and receives a share of what guests pay. There is no capital cost and no licence fee.
- What does the hotel have to provide?
- Space — an existing luggage room, a lobby corner or a back-of-house area that guests can reach — plus a contact for the install day. The units run on their own mobile connection, so no hotel IT work is needed.
- How long does installation take?
- A typical install is completed in a single day, and in most properties within a few hours. Nothing about the guest journey needs training: there is no system for your team to operate.
- What happens at the end of the pilot?
- You look at real numbers from your own property — bags stored, when they were stored, revenue earned, staff interactions avoided — and decide whether to continue. If you would rather not, we remove the units.
- Can a group run a pilot at one property first?
- That is the usual route. One site proves the demand and the revenue, then the same template rolls out across the portfolio.
